Auckland One Rail proudly operates Auckland’s Metro Rail system on behalf of Auckland Transport.
Auckland is one of the fastest growing cities in Australasia and is now home to almost 1.7 million people. The size and scale of Auckland’s growth has seen unprecedented demand for public transport, with patronage in the five years to 2017 increasing at triple the rate of population growth.
Auckland One Rail comprises global leaders in public transport, with demonstrated capability to partner with governments and public transport authorities to transform networks and achieve broader transport strategies. We are well-placed to partner long-term with Auckland Transport (AT) to bring world class rail to Auckland.

“I just wanted to share with you that I was on the Western Line train service from Avondale to Newmarket and your member of staff who controls the doors made a lovely announcement letting us know about changes to the services over the next two days and then just wished everyone a good day but made a good story out of it!  He really lifted everyone’s spirits in the carriage I was in and most people (who hadn’t earphones in) got off the train laughing and smiling following his announcement!  This is my second time on a train service with this staff member and each time, he has made my day!”
