Martin Kearney
Chief Executive Officer
Originally from the UK, Martin has more than 30 years’ experience in the transport sector in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
He oversaw the introduction of the fleet of 3-car EMUs onto Auckland’s then newly electrified rail network and implemented a new high frequency timetable, which successfully doubled passenger capacity in some areas.
He has a great deal of operational experience and has developed initiatives that have earnt awards for improving on-board customer experiences and reducing health and safety incidents in the workplace.
Gavin Panter
Chief Operations Officer
Gavin has more than 30 years’ experience in the rail industry and brings a wealth of international operating knowledge and leadership to AOR. He has held key positions, including Director of Operations and Safety at Chiltern Railways UK, National Control Manager for Network Rail (UK) and senior roles at Sydney Trains, where he served as the Signal Box Operations Manager and Head of Operation Control.
His expertise in driving operational efficiency and innovation aligns with AOR’s vision to deliver world class rail.
Alex Henson
Chief Financial Officer
Alex is a finance and accounting professional with over 18 years in the rail, construction, health, defence, justice and resources sectors. Alex’s deep and broad commercial and finance experiences across different industries and countries will be of great benefit to Auckland One Rail.
Gary Ryan
General Manager Customer & Community
Gary brings a broad a range of business experience to AOR including over 20 years’ in customer experience leadership roles in the public transport and the postal sectors. He has a passion for developing and delivering initiatives that translate into tangible improvements in the front-line customer experience.
Charlene Moodley
General Manager Project Management Office
Charlene is an accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience in project management and strategy execution. She leads the PMO team and oversees the company’s project portfolio, while spearheading the development and implementation of project management best practice across the organisation. With a proven track record of successfully leading complex projects and driving organisational change across diverse industries, such as electricity, construction, telecommunications, IT/IS and education, Charlene brings a wealth of experience to our team.
Charlene is widely recognised for her ability to inspire and motivate team members to work collaboratively towards a common goal, while also providing guidance and mentorship to help them advance their careers.
Lisa D'Oliveira
General Manager HSQES&S (Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, Sustainability and Security)
Lisa joins AOR after 30 years of military aviation transport and safety experience. She has filled a variety of leadership roles in the military, including as a qualified aviation accident investigator and the Director of Defence Health & Safety.
Lisa has operated in a range of operational areas supporting conflicts in Kosovo, Afghanistan, East Timor and Ukraine. She was the Commanding Officer of the NZDF aviation transport fleet supporting international operations and support to disaster in the Pacific.
She also has an extensive background in implementing aviation and strategic health and safety.
Jarryd Sisley
General Manager Engineering and Assets
Jarryd leads both our Facilities and Rolling Stock teams. He has significant experience in mechanical engineering, maintenance management project management, asset management, reliability, and commissioning in mechanical heavy industries.
He has overseen management of rolling stock maintenance operations facilities at a national level.
His background includes the development of technical maintenance plans and the commissioning of electric locomotives into operation. His experience and skills will allow AOR to advance its capabilities as we transition towards taking over maintenance of the EMU (electric multiple unit) fleet in 2025.
