AOR has welcomed Chris Cordwell to our team. Chris is a senior rail infrastructure professional with 20 years of international experience spanning rail operations, asset management, and major project delivery.
He has joined AOR in a new role as Rail Infrastructure Operations Manager. This role will be responsible for improving the safe and efficient operation of Auckland’s metro rail infrastructure to support reliable, high-capacity passenger services.
Chris has held senior leadership positions at KiwiRail, Auckland Transport and Network Rail (UK), delivering high-impact programs such as City Rail Link readiness, large-scale defect recovery strategies, and network renewals.
His background includes experience across diverse operating environments, including New Zealand, the UK, and Saudi Arabia.
He brings a strong combination of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on operational insight, with a proven track record in delivering safe, effective, and forward-looking rail infrastructure solutions.
