Last week, the management of Auckland One Rail came together at the Quarterly Leadership Forum to celebrate success and recognise the outstanding contributions of our people across the business.
We recognised our people through eight staff awards across five categories, reflecting the diversity of roles and talents among our 800+ employees.
Congratulations to our award recipients, who were recognised for their exceptional performance, commitment to safety, outstanding customer service, and dedication to delivering excellence every day:
Safety Star Award: For contributing to a safe and effective workplace or rail network.
- Randall Gallagher for taking early action to prevent an incident that could have caused impact to the safe running of the network
- Joseph Hinvest for his early awareness of a major fault, ensuring it could be fixed immediately, preventing future delays and incidents
- Tauryn Payne for helping locate a vulnerable missing person and looking after them until assistance was received.
Maintenance Excellence Award: Recognising excellence in the care and maintenance of assets including rolling stock, and station and facility equipment.
- Anatoly Kogut for showing ownership of the maintenance process, improving overall system performance and fleet reliability.
AOR Values Award: For excellence in line with AOR’s values: Safety, Integrity, Respect and One Team.
- Kaleb Wiki for supporting a vulnerable customer and their family to prevent a potentially serious incident.
Operational Excellence Award: For outstanding contributions to AOR’s operations, including day-to-day operations, service planning, rosters, scheduling, fleet control, operational readiness, engineering and assets, facilities and station control, driver managers, train service managers and CRL.
- Sunil Reddy Vadicherla for delivering on preparations for the City Rail Link opening, above and beyond his normal duties
- Sean Ali for adding real value to the Duty Station Managers team from Day One and innovating their way of working.
Customer Champion Award: For outstanding customer service or engagement with customers, or behaviours that encourage colleagues to follow their example.
- Debbie Turley for preventing a potential self-harm incident by taking early action to look after a vulnerable customer
The forum also allowed our Executive Leadership Team to share the progress Auckland One Rail is making as we prepare for the opening of the City Rail Link and our rail partners at Auckland Transport to share business updates and insights.
